Building Global Britain
The Government has ambitious plans for a post-Brexit Global Britain, from cementing the UK's position as a science and technology superpower to building a 'network of liberty' with allies. Free and fair trade lie at the heart of achieving this vision, and in realising new trading opportunities, the Government can not only secure Britain's future prosperity, but also build lasting relationships right across the globe that will simultaneously boost our security. As the Integrated Review made clear, this will require a 'whole-of-government' approach – creating the right environment for businesses to innovate, flourish and export, and forging mutually beneficial alliances across the world.
Reform is delighted to host this panel discussion on how the UK can build new trading partnerships and secure our future competitiveness, prosperity and security. Attendees will get a chance to ask questions.
Panellists at this event will include:
- Rt Hon Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, Secretary of State for International Trade
- Creon Butler, Director of Global Economy and Finance Programme, Chatham House
- Jonathan Pell, Partner, Deloitte
