Claudia Martinez, Research Manager at Reform will be speaking at a Westminster Health Forum conference on 'Key issues for optimising the NHS estate: funding, planning and development, and policy priorities for the new government'. Imogen Farhan spoke on a panel at the Public Sector Solutions Expo on 'Optimising workspaces to support smarter working'. She discussed Reform's research on 'Smarter working in public services', which is available to read here.
Eleonora Harwich, Director of Research and Head of Digital and Tech Innovation at Reform, spoke at the UKIO’s conference in Liverpool. She presented on two different themes throughout the day on 12 June 2019. The first was on ethical considerations around data usage, ownership and commercialisation in relation to creating IP. The second was about how the NHS can become more efficient.
Aidan Shilson-Thomas, Researcher at Reform, led several 'hot-seat' sessions at the 2019 Modernising Criminal Justice conference. These sessions covered topics including the probation service, tackling the root causes of crime, and the merits of 'stop and search' policies.
Eleonora Harwich, Director of Research at Reform, spoke at an Edge Health panel event on navigating the challenges of introducing advanced technologies into the NHS. She addressed the issue of patient data confidentiality, arguing that private service providers must take it upon themselves to design systems which command the trust and confidence of patients.

Imogen Farhan, Researcher at Reform, spoke at the APM Project Management conference, addressing the importance of smarter working programmes. She argued that technological changes alone are insufficient to deliver the benefits of smarter working, and must be accompanied by meaningful cultural change.
Eleonora Harwich, Director of Research at Reform, chaired a University of Salford conference on the issue of AI in healthcare. She also spoke on the impact of the NHS Code of Conduct on data-driven services, making reference to Reform's recent report, 'Making NHS Data Work for Everyone'.
Dr Joshua Pritchard, Researcher at Reform, spoke on the issue of driving innovation through public procurement and local wealth building at Westminster Business Forum’s Keynote Seminar on the future for UK public procurement. He argued that there needs to be a greater focus on skills and training to ensure the public sector has the capacity to procure public services effectively and responsibly. He called for a greater investment in training institutions and the wider use of digital e-learning courses for local contracting authorities.
On 7 March 2019, Eleonora Harwich, Director of Research and Head of Digital and Tech Innovation, spoke at a Privitar data policy evening on equitability. She presented the findings of Reform’s report on Making NHS data work for everyone.
On Tuesday 22 February 2019, Eleonora Harwich, Director of Research and Head of Digital and Tech Innovation, spoke at The Royal Society of Medicine’s event, ‘Recent developments in AI and digital health 2019’. She spoke about the macroeconomic ethics of the AI market in healthcare.
On Friday 22 February 2019, Eleonora Harwich, Director of Research and Head of Digital and Tech Innovation, spoke at The London Interdisciplinary Biosciences Consortium Teaching Week 2019. She presented the findings of Thinking on its own: AI in the NHS and Making NHS data work for everyone. She argued that good implementations of AI in the NHS are the ones that solves issues that people face on the ground.
On Thursday 7 February 2019, Eleonora Harwich spoke at the World Health Organisation Symposium on the future of digital health systems. She presented the findings from the Making NHS data work for everyone research report.
