The world has never been more connected. People and goods criss-cross borders every second of every day, boosting growth, productivity and wellbeing. International trade is at the heart of post-Brexit Britain with the Government committed to supporting UK businesses to seize global opportunities.

Reliable and secure supply chains, often spanning several continents, are also key to boosting British businesses at home – creating jobs and delivering for consumers. Smart, frictionless borders are key to post-pandemic economic recovery and establishing Global Britain. Technology is already transforming our borders, and the government has ambitious plans to go further.

Reform is delighted to host this roundtable, led by Ranil Jayawardena MP, on the vital role technology can play in streamlining trade and removing unnecessary bureaucracy.

This event will be held under Chatham House rule and is kindly sponsored by Fujitsu.
